Products That Use Cannabis Extracts

Dab Rigs
Dab rigs are like water pipes in that they often contain a chamber that can be filled with water in their base. Dab rigs are specifically meant to be used with extract products such as wax, oil, and shatter and often contain additional diffusion through added percolators or chambers. Dab rigs vary widely in both shape and size – with some catering to portability and other are best suited for tabletop use.

Vaporizers
Vaporizers contain heated chambers that operate through either conduction or convection and operate below combustion levels. Some vaporizers have attachments that allow the user to add the preferred cannabis extract product that can then be inhaled through vaporization. Because combustion does not occur, vaporizers offer a smoke free alternative to cannabis consumption.

Frequently Asked Questions
What Are Cannabis Extracts?
Cannabis extracts, or concentrates, can be solid or liquid products and are produced by processing cannabis flower into a concentrated form to be either ingested or inhaled. Extracts is an umbrella term for the variety of products that can be produced. Available extracts include oils, capsules, wax, hash, kief and sift, resin, and rosin.
How Do Cannabis Extracts Work?
The way cannabinoids in the extract enter you body depends on the form of extract and the method of consumption. If ingested, effects may be delayed by digestion and can take 30 minutes to 4 hours to occur. When cannabis extracts are inhaled (such as dabbing or vaping), the THC is absorbed by the blood in the longs and moves quickly to the brain, producing an almost immediate effect that can sometimes be felt within minutes.
What Kinds Of Extracts Do You Sell?
The cannabis extract category brings with it an entirely new selection of products for consumers to choose from. Offerings range from rosin, wax and shatter, to oils, kief and sift. Products such as cannabis infused oils that are meant for ingestion have the terpenes removed and with only varying amounts of THC and CBD remaining – making them odourless.
How Are Cannabis Extracts Produced?
The processes to obtain concentrated cannabis products vary widely, but the basic goal is to isolate and remove the cannabinoids and terpenes. During the extraction process, dried or fresh cannabis can be sifted, exposed to hear or extreme cold, gas (such as carbon dioxide), a solvent, another oil or a combination of these; or further refined using ethanol.
How Do You Ingest Extracts?
Through vaporizing or ingestion, extracts offer the consumer a smoke free alternative to consume their cannabis products.
Why Use Cannabis Extracts?
Extracts provide an alternative to dried flower for consumers. Similar to dried flower, extracts can be inhaled through use of a vaporizer or ingested. The biggest benefit of extracts is that they provide a smoke free alternative to consuming cannabis.
When Did Extracts Become Legal?
Extracts became legal for purchase in the recreational market in Ontario on October 17th 2019.
